Abstract
The dynamic plasma response under the influence of ponderomotive forces from a laser pulse is investigated in connection with self-focusing. The resulting cone of the ion-acoustic compression wave can be used to contain backscattered and reflected radiation within the interaction region. This publication has 3 references indexed in Scilit:
