Abstract
An analysis of recently observed magneto-optical spectra is presented. A vernier method is described in which, by considering the full profile and including both the contribution due to birefringence and that due to dichroism, an enhanced accuracy can be achieved in the determination of relative oscillator strengths as compared with that achievable in methods based on Faraday rotation alone. Keywords
