Le Permo( ?)-Trias du Haut-Atlas de Demnat (Maroc). Lithostratigraphie et données palynologiques

Abstract
The lithostratigraphical succession of the Permian ( ?) and Triassic deposits of the Demnat area is described. They are divided in three groups, from the base to the top : the Tanoumri group with the Iminogoug conglomerate which is uncomformably deposited on the Stephanian D sandstones ; the Timenkar group with the Issfoula formation lays locally unconformably on the Iminogoug conglomerate or on the Autuno-Stephanian, and the Oukaimeden formation ; at the top, the Rhojdama group with the Abadou formation and the overlying Tamzawrout formation. The upper part of the Abadou sandstones contains a carbonate horizon with malachite from which a rich sporopollinic assemblage was recovered. This assemblage has much point in common with that described by Cousimer and Manspeizer (1976). The occurrence of Paracirculina quadruplicis, Patinasporites densus, Vallasporites ignacii indicates a Carnian, possibly late Carnian age.
