Abstract
The effects of network formation of non‐Gaussian chains on the stress‐birefringence are calculated. If the birefringence is plotted against the stress, the effects make the curve deviate from a straight line. When it is plotted against the elongation, the curve will rise above that corresponding to independent Gaussian chains in agreement with the experiments. This publication has 5 references indexed in Scilit:
