Abstract

Tetra-acetatodirhodium reacts with HC₅(CO₂-Me)₅ to give [Rh{η⁵-C₅H₂(CO₂Me)₃}₂][C₅(CO₂Me)₅] by unusual replacement of two CO₂Me groups on each η⁵ ligand by H, as revealed by an X-ray structural determination.
