Abstract
The physics of cementation processes (metal displacement) have been analyzed. An important effect of the intermediate species, hydrogen, H+, and hydride, H−, on the mechanism of cementation has been shown. The possibility of either diffusional or migrational (electric current) transport of active species has been suggested. A kinetic model of the cementation migration regime has been developed and partially verified by experimental data. Keywords
