Abstract
The value of a series of iodine-containing organic compounds as cholecystographic agents was studied. From X-ray studies on dogs N-(3-amino-2,4, 6 triiodobenzoyl)-(-amino-n-caproic acid and 2-(4-hydroxy-3, 5-diiodobenzyl) benzoic acid gave the most satisfactory visualization of the gall bladder and biliary tract. Analyses of the livers of rats after intraven. injn. of these com-pounds indicated that the first of the above compounds was present in highest concn. at any interval after injn. Keywords
