Abstract
The AMDD (Averting Maternal Death and Disability) Program was established at the Mailman School of Public Health in 1999. In this article, we discuss four key aspects of the program: the focus on emergency obstetric care; the use of process indicators; working with partners; and applying human rights.Keywords
