Abstract
Peripheral blood granulocytes from patients with infections take up acridine orange supravitally to produce a greater range of elicitable red cytoplasmic fluorescence per cell than is obtained when infection is absent. It is suggested that this may be another indication of leukocyte mobilization in infection, although the mechanism involved is not yet understood. Keywords
