CASDAT: An Innovative Approach to More Efficient ISD

Abstract
The high cost and time demands of applying ISD technology have led to R&D programs investigating the utility of data base and computer technology in training development. CASDAT is the preliminary result of such an R&D effort, sponsored and directed by the Naval Training Equipment Center (NTEC). The paper describes the objectives of this program, its major developmental steps, the current prototype system, future directions, and implications for ISD and training.
