Abstract

The threshold for the

{}^{36}{Ar} (p, n) {}^{36}K

reaction has been found at

E_{p} = 14.002 \pm 0.024

MeV (lab). This leads to a mass excess for

{}^{36}K

of -17.396 ± 0.023 MeV. The half-life of positron activity for

{}^{36}K

was found to be 345 ± 5 msec.
