Abstract
Analgesimetry readings failed to reveal an increase in pain threshold readings following the inhalation of subnarcotic concentrations (0.25 to 0.5 per cent) of methoxyflnrane. There may be a connection between the lack of analgesia and the absence of an increase in circulating catechol amines during methoxyflurane anaesthesia. Keywords
