Abstract
To improve the wavelength sensitivity of the multimode interference phenomenon and thus reduce the device length, a restricted-resonance multimode interference scheme and a lower beat length ratio were adopted to design a novel 1.3/1.55 µm wavelength division multiplexer. Using the modal propagation analysis, transmission characteristics of the device were investigated. Keywords
