Charge transfer reactions of C+, N+, and O+ ions with H2 and N2

Abstract
The effects of reactant-ion electronic states on charge transfer cross sections involving 0.6- to 3.0-keV C+, N+, and O+ ions with H2 and N2 molecules are illustrated. Total cross sections, computed from state-selected cross sections and weighted according to reactant-ion-beam state distributions, are compared with the recently published data of Lockwood et al., which were obtained at higher energies.
