SEVERE DEGENERATION OF THE BRAIN FOLLOWING NITROUS OXIDE-OXYGEN ANESTHESIA

Abstract
The severity of the changes in the brain consequent to the encephalopathy following nitrous oxide-oxygen anesthesia have been described by Lowenberg, Waggoner and Zbinden,1 and by Courville.2,3 The purpose of this report is to describe the clinical course and changes in the brain of a patient who lived much longer than the other cases which have been reported.
