Abstract
An unusual case of tinea capitis due to Trichophyton rubrum in an adult woman is described. The scalp showed typical "black dot" ringworm; microscopically, a large-spore endothrix fungus was seen. The scalp lesions responded rapidly to griseofulvin. Keywords
