Abstract
Four cases of metastasizing basal cell carcinoma, one occurring in the basal cell nevoid syndrome, are presented. Two patients are surviving without evidence of additional metastases. One patient died from cerebral involvement 31/2 years after a lymph node metastasis was established by aspiration biopsy. One patient died from complications of cerebral palsy one year after a metastasis to a regional lymph node was discovered in the primary resection of the neoplasm. Only 90 cases of metastases from basal cell carcinoma have been reported previously.Keywords
