Abstract
Recently the Board of Governors of IMPI authorized a research study of the interests and characteristics of IMPI members, A self-administered mail questionnaire. was developed which contained questions dealing with organizations represented, interests of members, profile characteristics of members, and the relationship of the Institute and its members. The questionnaire was sent to all members in good standing. 52% of the membership returned the completed questionnaire. The responses to each question are shown as separate histograms and each question is discussed in the text. The results of the survey suggest specific interest areas that should be pursued by both the Board of Governors in terms of the Annual Symposium on Microwave Power and by. the Editor of the Journal of Microwave Power as a criteria for paper selection. Keywords
