Abstract
The effects of uv and x‐ray radiations on sodium metaphosphate glass doped with either CdSO4 or NiO, were studied. The optical and ESR absorptions of the glass were measured. The formation of Cd+ and Ni+ was demonstrated. A new interpretation is given to the color centers induced by irradiation in the pure base glass. Keywords
