Abstract
Emission spectra of pyrazine and its deuterated derivatives have been observed in the vapor and the vibronic structure has been analyzed in detail. The vibronic structures of the phosphorescence spectra of these compounds have been explained all in terms of totally symmetrical vibrations, while the first main bands of the fluorescence spectra were anomalous as well as their progression bands in respect to the band position and intensity distribution. For comparison, the fluorescence spectra have also been studied in rigid matrices at 90°K.Keywords
