Abstract
Energy necessary to record thermal holograms in ferroelectrics (tenths mJ/cm2) is demonstrated to be comparable to that of previously known best gaseous recording media. Experimentally thermal gratings were recorded in light absorbing SBN crystals and it allowed to study the heat conduction of SBN:Ce at the phase transition. New absorbing dopes for SBN - Mn, Cu, Nd - with low quantum efficiency of the luminiscence have been found. Keywords
