Abstract
The long-range contribution to the electron-hole exchange interaction in excitons in cubic semiconductors gives rise to an observable effect in the Voigt configuration. From an experimental determination on the energy scale of both the short-range and the long-range contributions to the exchange splitting, the value of the exchange integral could be deduced irrespective of any particular model for the exciton envelope function. Keywords
