Abstract
• A case of phaeomycotic cyst caused byExophiala jeanselmeiis presented. The patient was a 45-year-old woman and a carpenter's wife. The lesion that developed on her right thigh was removed surgically. Examination of the specimen disclosed a wooden splinter in the cavity of the excised cyst. It seemed likely that the causal agent had entered into the skin of the patient on the wooden splinter. (Arch Dermatol1984;120:1209-1211)Keywords
