Some Properties of the Shift and Penetration Factors in Nuclear Reactions

Abstract
The shift and penetration factors are shown to have certain monotonic properties in the variables , , and for both positive and negative energies. The behavior of the shift factor in the neighborhood of zero energy (threshold) is discussed.
