Abstract
The inhibition of phenol red transport in isolated renal tubules of the flounder by dinitrophenol and related compounds is correlated with the inhibitory activity of these agents in aerobic phosphorylating enzyme systems of mammalian kidney. The renal transport of phenol red appears to be dependent on the utilization of phosphate bond energy. Keywords
