Abstract
The relation between the Bardeen-Copper-Schrieffer theory and the Bogoliubov theory of superconductivity is discussed. It is shown that the B.C.S. trial wave function is derived by the same transformation as that used by Bogoliubov, and that the integral equation which determines an introduced parameter is equivalent. Some remarks are also made on the excited-state wave functions.
