The Effect of Intraperitoneal Injection on Aversive Behavior Conditioning with X-Irradiation

Abstract
Conditioned aversive behavior to saccharin solution was found in Wistar rats receiving saccharin to drink during irradiation. Injection of saccharin solution followed by irradiation did not produce aversive conditioning. Distilled water intraperitoneally injected seemed to offset the effects of irradiation, and thus the hypothesis that intraperitoneal injection of alcohol or distilled water would have no effect on aversive behavior conditioning was untenable.
