Abstract
The incidence of Clostridium perfringens in 95 ground beef samples obtained from a retail store in Denver, Colorado was 47.4%. Although viability was not reduced after 24 h at −20 C, greater than 90% of the organisms usually could not be detected after frozen storage over a 4-month period. Keywords
