Determination of 1,4 and 3,4 Addition in Polyisoprenes by Rapid Pyrolysis and Vapor Phase Chromatography

Abstract
These results indicate that, after calibration, this technique can be used to determine the ratio of 1,4 and 3,4 addition in polyisoprenes where the arrangement of monomer units is the same as the polymers used here. This limitation depends on study of other specimens which will show whether sequence distribution has any effect on the results of pyrolysis.
