Abstract
Experiment data on the decay D0→π+π-, combined with a factorization hypothesis, may be used to estimate the size of 'penguin'-contributions to the ΔI=1/2 kaon decays. The result of such an analysis supports the expectation that the ΔI=1/2 rule in the kaon decays may arise from a large 'penguin'-contribution enhancement.
