Abstract
Pennsylvanian age pteridophyte spores isolated from a limestone matrix contain structurally preserved stages of endosporal gametophytes. Ultrastructural examination of gametophyte cells reveals well-preserved cytoplasmic remains. This degree of preservation indicates the potential of investigating subcellular phenomena within fossil cells. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
