Abstract
There are people in the world who have a great deal of difficulty communicating with others because they do not know how to communicate well, or they are fearful of communicating, or they see no advantage in communicating, or they have a personality which precludes communicating. Teachers of performance courses in speech communication on all levels encounter these students and try very hard to help them. The following set of brief statements is designed to provide some substantive ideas about what can be done with such students. Keywords
