Reproductive Performance of Swine Fed Chlortetracycline Over Several Generations

Abstract
Feeding the antibiotic chlortetracycline to sows continuously throughout the gestation-lactation cycle for three generations resulted in an increase in the percentage of live pigs born and an increase in the percentage weaned of the live pigs farrowed. No difference was found in total litter1 size, birth weights, 21-day weights or weaning weights. Copyright © . .
