Abstract
Analytic solutions for the (diffusional) capacity of two concentric thin wire loops opposite one plate and between two parallol plates are given. The application of these solutions to the diffusional problem of two concentric dislocation loops in thin foils suitable for electron microscopy is discussed. The exact equations take into account experimental parameters hitherto neglected. It is shown that all approximate equations used previously wore not sufficiently accurato to permit moaningful derivations of the energy of the stacking fault joining the two concentric partial dislocations. New measurements with observation of the necessary parameters and their evaluation by the given theory will be mandatory.
