Abstract
Serum concentration of gamma globulin and mucoproteins rose in tuberculous guinea pigs while the serum albumin dropped. These changes were not diagnostic, as they occurred in guinea pigs with nontuberculous abnormalities. The cytoplasmic basophilia of the mesenchymal elements in the liver, of reticuloendo-thelial cells of the spleen, and of the epithelioid and lymphoid cells of the specific granulomas were very conspicuous in experimental tuberculosis. Excess gamma globulin may be made at the expense of albumin. Keywords
