Abstract
Sex ratios [USA] were examined in samples of P. maniculatus collected in north-central Kansas [USA]. These samples had an excess of males which is characteristic of Peromyscus. Within-sample analyses demonstrated 2 patterns: a negative relationship between sex ratio (percent males) and population density, and a switch from a female-biased sex ratio in small adult mice (71-80 mm in body length) to a male-biased sex ratio in large adult mice (81-100 mm). This publication has 1 reference indexed in Scilit:
