Abstract
The excitation functions for the Au197(C12,xn)209x At, Bi209(He3,xn)212x At, Bi209(α,xn)213x At, Re187(He3,xn)190xIr, Re187(α,xn)191xIr, and Au197(He3,xn)200xTl reactions were obtained by the activation method employing the stacked-foil technique. The maximum laboratory kinetic energies were 70-MeV He3, 80-MeV He4, and 120-MeV C12 ions. The radiations accompanying the decay of the induced radioisotopes were detected by a calibrated Ge(Li) detector and the cross sections were deduced by the activation method.
