Abstract
The CP-conserving decay mode π+πγ of the K20 is calculated in the pion-pole model (with ηπ0 mixing) with the strong-interaction part of the decay amplitude described by the Veneziano model. Because of sign ambiguities introduced by a model of physical PVV couplings (which fits both π02γ and η2γ rates) and the unknown sign of ηπ0 mixing relative to the weak Kπ mixing, values of the branching ratio r((K20π+πγ)(K20allmodes)) are obtained ranging from 7.6×105 to 3.1×104, but all are consistent with the present experimental upper limit of 4×104.
