Abstract
Summary: The origin of load-induced shear-planes in the Middle Sands is related to their stratigraphical position between the till sheets of the Main Irish Sea Glaciation and the Irish Sea Re-advance. Thin sections of the shear-planes show that they have undergone iron enrichment owing to differential capillarity. This publication has 10 references indexed in Scilit:
