Abstract
Populations of three species of mites sampled from terminal-flush grapefrurit leaves differed in the various quadrants from which they were collected. Eutetranychus banksi McG. was most abundant in the south quadrants during the year except for the 2 months following the peak population, which occurred in May 1955 and .Tune 1956. Citrus rust mites, Phyllocoptruta oleivora (Ashm.), were more numerous on the east as well as the north side of the tree during 8 months of the year, and being most numerous in the northeast quadrant. In a sulfur dusted grove, E. Banksimites were more numerous on the north side of the Tree 1 to 2 months later than on the untreated trees, while citrus rust mites were more numerous on the east quadrants. Brevipalpus spp. were more common on leaves in the west quadrants. This publication has 0 references indexed in Scilit:
