Abstract
The moment theory of electron transport in an electric field in a gas, by Lin, Robson, and Mason, has been seriously called into question (in CH4) by Kleban and co-workers. This paper is a contribution to resolve the discrepancy. Results of Monte Carlo calculations in the above gas are presented which show that the moment theory is, on the contrary, correct. Keywords
