Abstract
Compact emission regions in extended radio sources have been observed with an interferometer of baseline 127 km. Of the 49 sources studied, ten were found to have small diameter components coincident with the central optical nucleus. Compact regions of emission were also detected in the outer components of Cygnus A.Keywords
