Abstract
Summary Isolation of a new entity, Cotia virus, from sentinel mice, in São Paulo State, Brazil, is described. The agent is pathogenic for baby mice and it is inactivated by sodium desoxycholate. It is proposed for inclusion in the arbovirus group.Keywords
