Abstract
A new resonant wave with unknown isospin and ( not completely excluded) is found to be necessary in order to explain the energy dependence of the higher Legendre polynomial coefficients (, , and ) in the expansion of the elastic scattering differential cross section between 1937 and 1991 MeV. Assignment of this tentative resonance to a octet with the known and is found to be reasonably good.
