Abstract
The spectrum of light scattered quasielastically by a single crystal of succinonitrile has been studied using an optical heterodyne technique. Both the spectral width and relative intensity of the spectrum indicate that the classical theory of Rayleigh scattering from fluids is also valid for scattering from a crystal. Keywords
