Abstract
Any point of departure for exegesis which ignores God in Christ as the liberator of the oppressed or makes salvation as liberation secondary is invalid. The test of validity lies not only in the particularity of the oppressed culture, but in the One who freely grants us freedom when we were doomed to slavery. Keywords
