Abstract
Total elastic and transport cross sections for the (pμ+p, (dμ+d, and (tμ+t systems (n is the principal quantum number) are calculated in the energy range 0.04≤E≤10 eV using the classical and quasiclassical approach. Electron screening is taken into account. The obtained elastic cross sections are large, especially for small E. The experimental methods of measuring these cross sections are discussed. © 1996 The American Physical Society.
