Abstract
The first numerical simulations of a complete transoceanic wavelength-multiplexed soliton transmission system applying dispersion management are presented. Guidelines for management optimisation are given. The simple optimised two-level dispersion allocation scheme offers more than a doubling of the amplifier span without significant transmission degradation. Keywords
