Abstract

The compounds cp₃U(THF)(2), [cp₃UCl][Na(18-crown-6)](3), and [(cp₃U)₂(µ-H)][Na(THF)₂](4)(cp =η-C₅H₅, THF = tetrahydrofuran) were respectively prepared from cp₃UCl (1) by treatment with sodium amalgam, Na/Hg in the presence of 18-crown-6 ether, and NaH; the crystal structure of (4) has been determined.
