Abstract
The concentrations of Na+, K+ and calcium as well as the water content in whole bovine lenses from 0.25 up to 0 25 years were determined. The data given in μmol/total lens or in μmol/g lens water show a linear increase with ageing for K+, Na+ and Ca++ ions. Keywords
